Objectives

The Master's Degree in Data Science (SD) is the Master's Degree in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Rouen Normandy and the INSA of Rouen Normandy. It offers a programme of theoretical and practical studies at the interface of computer science, mathematics and mobile and embedded technologies.

It aims at the training of high-level managers in data science and artificial intelligence, machine learning experts with the A2IA track, specialists in new technologies with the SIME track, and initiated in the search for excellence with the MINMACS track.

Specificities

The Master SD is based on the expertise of the LITIS laboratory (EA 4108), and the NormaSTIC federation (FR CNRS 3638) in the fields of machine learning, data mining and signal and image processing.

The Master SD is integrated into MINMACS, the Normandy graduate school in Mathematics and Computer Science offered jointly by the University of Rouen Normandy, the University of Caen Normandy, the University of Le Havre Normandy, ENSICAEN and INSA Rouen Normandy. Each year, MINMACS scholarships of excellence and individualized mentoring are offered for the first and/or second year of the Master SD.

The Master SD is one of the training courses supported by the NormanTHIIA project, funded as part of the Call for Manifestation d’Intérêt (AMI) Compétences et Métiers d’Avenir (CMA) of the State’s France 2030 Investment Plan.

3 tracks

The Master SD offers three tracks :

The first year of the master's programme includes a majority of lessons shared between the three tracks.

Work-linked training and Internship

The Master is offered as initial or work-linked training.
